  About KVBSA

The Kensington Valley Baseball and Softball Association provides a structured league for youth baseball teams. KVBSA is a growing, competitive, inexpensive, well-organized, and passionate association with over 250 teams from over 35 communities that participated in 2012.

Mission Statement
KVBSA is a service organization dedicated to the youth of our area.
Our program provides healthy activity and training guided by excellent leadership in an atmosphere with ample community participation.
We strive to enrich their lives by inspiring them with goals, teamwork, and fair play.

KVBSA is affiliated with the top sports sanctioning bodies in the country including USSSA and AABC. Sanction fees are paid by KVBSA.

The KVBSA uses the cut-off of May 1st for baseball. There can be no exceptions to this date as this is what all the affiliations, in which we participate, use. Players can play up but nobody can play down.

We began having monthly KVBSA meetings in October. We hold these meetings beginning at 7:00 P.M. The tentative schedule for the rest of the year is posted on the home page.

There is a mandatory 3 meeting representation rule which begins in November (remember you or a representative of your team must be at 3 of the meetings from November - April). This allows all teams to have an opinion in anything that may be discussed.

Due to the competitiveness of the leagues and the success of the multi tiered divisions we will continue this concept in the age brackets (U10 through U14) where we are able, to support open, advanced and community based leagues. U15 through U18 will remain unrestricted and therefore unchanged. Listed below are all of this year's divisions. Each age bracket had anywhere from 20 to 50 teams which were broken geographically,or competitively into divisions  As always we will entertain any other options for every age bracket that will help better the league and allow for more young ball players to participate. For 2013, we will tentatively have the following:

  • U8
  • U9
  • U10 - Community, Advanced and Open
  • U11 - Community, Advanced, and Open
  • U12 - Community, Advanced, and Open
  • U13 - Community, Advanced, and Open
  • U14 - Community, Advanced, and Open
  • U15
  • U16
  • U18

Everybody must have insurance through the league. Insurance coverage is included in the registration fee. See the Registration page for details.
